Read on to learn more about how our contractors work with safety in mind for all of our projects!

Going Above and Beyond for Safety in the Workspace

G&M Services and our field staff is required for attending safety training as a part of our new-hire system, and no employee goes to work in the field without at least being fully certified with OSHA 10. All Field Supervisors are fully-required to have OSHA 30 training done. We at G&M Services maintain a full-time safety manager who is dedicated to monitoring safety compliance for every employee. To keep safety in mind, the safety manager performs consistent monthly training sessions and weekly talks to help inform employees on new technology and other safety protocols.

Silica Awareness and Training for Construction Sites

Silica is a crystalline chemical that is found entirely in construction materials like stone, mortar, sand, stone, and concrete. According to OSHA, handling it safely will require a few safety protocol training to help protect workers. As core-drilling and concrete-cutting employees, the dangers of silica and its other long-term effects on your health are a legitimate concern for our employees. As a part of new-employee training, all of our field employees are specially trained to learn about the different dangers of silica in construction spaces. We will use engineering controls in the OSHA “Table A” protocols that help control silica dust that could be on the job site. We at G&M Services also perform annual fit testing with other health checkups on all concrete operation employees to help ensure that they are using the proper protective equipment and are staying healthy throughout their time as contractors here.

Give G&M Services a call today to learn how much we care about our safety protocols on our worksites.
